Airborne by prdarkfox Airborne by prdarkfox
Curious fans might notice this is a non-standard Omni config; this unit borrows from the Puma A. 2x LRM-20, each with 2 tons of ammo, and a pair of ER Medium Lasers.

Black Hawk/Nova BattleMech is (C) Topps, Inc.

It's not uncommon for non-Blooded Warriors to use alternate configurations or custom configurations. The whole idea behind the omnimech and its podspace technology was that the load out could be changed on the fly to fit the mech to the situation, not force the situation on the mech.

Ahh when you said it was a Black Hawk/Nova I thought it was the Clan version and not the Black Hawk KU. ;)

Still a great pic no matter what. :)

the Blackhawk Ku is the Inner Sphere conversion of the clan's Nova 'mech

Non standard load outs are common among Blood Named warriors.
Phelan Kell/Ward would be an example of this when he was given a new Wolfhound re-built with Clan tech after he had gained the Ward Blood Name.

Fascinating.

This is however an Inner Sphere-captured 'Mech. I have some respect for the Clanners, but I'll jack whatever I can. :P

He also used a modified nova in a trial of position against an Aerospace fighter. Narc Beacon, LRM-15 and an LBX-10, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, but the weapons types offer a higher probability of hit against a single, fast-moving target.

I'm more curious about the design of using NARC instead of Artemis IV FCS tied to the single LRM15.

Narc has a better accuracy boost, I think.

I thought both gave a +2 to missile hits and that was all? Though, NARC does provide aid to ALL units with NARC missiles, which is a good advantage (but completely pointless for the Clans).
