Artist's Comments

Steady speed, cheap, and extremely effective, the 30 ton Inner Sphere Light-Runner actually relies on banks of medium lasers tied to a targeting computer. A pair of Pulse Lasers on one arm give it excellent accuracy against faster targets that make it to its back side.

This 'Mech has been used in a game of MegaMek and it showed to be exceedingly effective in combat, especially in the urban due to the relatively short range of its weapons. This is a custom unit, by the way, NOT an official unit!

looks a bit like an unseen Valkyrie, which is not a bad thing. ;)

do you have full stats for it ?

As a quick sketch it is quite good. gets the shape / layout of the mech across, gives a reasonably good profile and locations of weapons at a quick glance. It is how I would expect a forward scout to report a possibly new design fielded by the enemy. Gives HQ something to work on while the scout goes in for a closer and more detailed look.

The rough look also portrays an element of speed in the mech's movement.

the shadow of the mech is quite good ( and accurate from what I can see )

Cleaning it up by tracing over the top, and adding more detail to the terrain might be in order for it to be TRO quality. ( ie. detailed scout report)

Actually, inspiration was heavily borrowed from both the Unseen Wasp and the Grasshopper designs.
I also thank you for the compliment. You have no idea how much that means to be (just shy of TRO quality? I didn't think I was that good!).

And yes, I DO have specs! Used this unit in a game of MegaMek with extreme success.

I'm going to try to get this design into my campaign some how. it's going to have to be a 3025 down grade since I'm in 3021 but a great light mech with heaps of potential. We play with minis on 3D terrain and they should work brilliantly.

Got any other art work coming through ?

cheers

It shouldn't take much to downgrade. If you drop the targeting computer you have enough tonnage to go back to a Standard skeleton. The Medium Pulses can be switched out for a pair of standard lasers, mounting two extra heat sinks (since it normally mounts doubles). The last half ton can be spread across for armor. There's probably the LGH-R0.
